Pick a little cotton

I just spent 45 minutes on the treadmill, so that's all for tonight. I did have the barest notion of a conclusion to this morning's post, but it's gone.

Time to reassess the goals

It's time to reassess the goals again. I feel myself getting obsessed with the cotton (I'm sure this is a surprise to everyone...) and at that point where the yoke is starting to chafe.

Have I mentioned how much I love my Roketman? Before going to sleep last night, I asked him about it. I'm deflecting all my anxieties and excitement over this years trip to Anacortes by focusing on the cotton. I asked him if I was being too unrealistic about how much fiber and knitting and weaving I wanted to take.

He paused, shrugged, and asked "Is it hurting anyone?"

God, I love that man.

But I digress. What is it that I really want to accomplish? And what's the next steps to getting there?

Back soon with more on this, break's over.

Tonight's progress

Tonight's progress

I got this much cotton ginned tonight. I'm not going to weigh it, but I'd say there's about a gallon baggie's worth. That's deceptive, though, because cotton really compacts down.

It really fluffs up too, so I put the scissors on top for a good reality check.

Tonight's Wednesday, it's about 10:30, and I just realized I missed the Diamond Bar Knit Night at "It's a Grind." arrrgh... I totally forgot. (memo to self, put it on the calendar and set a reminder!!)

But I did take pictures last week, and I'll make up for it by posting them tonight. Nag me, ladies! I lost my mind a long time ago.

I disavow any knowledge of this person, why she's sticking out her tongue, or why people put up with her bizarre behavior. Well, when she's around yarn, anyway.

Ladies, poke me with sharp pointy sticks next week, ok? I feel bad about missing y'all tonight!

... into this. Interestingly, the physical volume seems to be about the same. I weighed it, and it's 33 grams, which is a tad more than an ounce.

Here's where I confess that I broke down and went and weighed that last skein I did on the SpinTech. It was 22 ounces. hmmm.
