Deception Pass

This is a screenshot of the chart for our passage tomorrow through Deception Pass. (click through to Flickr to see more detail) Note the tidal current predictions at bottom. (yikes!) The software is Coastal Explorer.

Needless to say, I've got a bit of anxiety. Not a lot, but it's there. The Roketman has us on schedule to be going through the Pass at close to slack tide. Which is a good thing. He's been planning on doing this for a long time, what's a little anxiety when you're seeing your guy in seventh heaven?

The weather is awesome right now! It got up to 78F, and right now it's 9:30 and the sun is just now setting. It's been dusk for the past 45 minutes, my favorite time of day. And the water is like glass, which is remarkable even for being in the marina.

Today was moving in day, getting the boat checked out and provisioned. I cooked steak on the grill to celebrate. mmmm.

Life is good. I need one of those t-shirts.
